Mono-act performances stir emotions and spark social conversations
The Mono-act competition for boys in the Higher Secondary School category at the 63rd Kerala State School Arts Festival on Tuesday proved to be an exhilarating display of emotion, drama and social commentary.
The event stood out not just for its impressive performances but also for the wide range of socially relevant and thought-provoking topics that dominated the stage. From tragedies to environmental issues, the participants kept the audience on the edge of their seats, evoking a spectrum of emotions.
One of the most poignant performances came from Samjith K. Das of KHS Kumaramputhur, Palakkad. Samjith took the audience through the tragic events following the death of Arjun, a truck driver from Kozhikode, whose vehicle plunged into the Gangavali River in Shirur, Karnataka, after a landslide on July 16.
