Seven killed, seven injured in truck-van collision near Jaitpur, Hathras
Seven persons, including three women and a child, were killed in a head-on collision between a truck and a van on the Mathura-Kaiserganj highway near Jaitpur village in Hathras district on Tuesday. Hathras Superintendent of Police Nipun Agarwal said the injured were shifted to the Aligarh Medical College and Hospital. The deceased included three men, three women, and a child, all from a village within the jurisdiction of the Chandpa police station in Hathras district. Local officials reached the spot and rushed the injured to the medical facility.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed officials to expedite the relief work. “The loss of life in a road accident on the Mathura-Kasganj highway in Hathras district is extremely sad and heart-wrenching. My condolences are with the bereaved family. District administration officials have been instructed to carry out relief operations expeditiously and immediately take the injured to hospital. I pray to Lord Shri Ram to give a place to the departed souls in his feet and provide speedy recovery to the injured,” Mr. Adityanath posted on X.
