Vir Das To Host 2024 International Emmy Awards, Becomes First Indian To Lead The Prestigious Event

New Delhi: The 2024 International Emmy Awards will be hosted by Bollywood actor and comedian Vir Das, according to the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. On Monday, November 25, Das will become the first Indian to host the famous ceremony in New York City, which is a major milestone.

This is not Vir Das' first trip to the International Emmys. ‘Landing’, his 2023 Netflix comedy special, won in the Comedy category. ‘Vir Das: For India’, his 2021 film, was nominated for the same award. Reflecting on the honour, Vir Das expressed gratitude and wrote, “Thanks to your support, an Indian Emmy Host. I can’t wait to host the @iemmys this year! Crazy. Thank you for having me. Tremendously honoured and excited!”

The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences' President & CEO, Bruce L.
